So about a week ago my parents decided to surprise my sister and I by taking us on a week long vacation. (we ended up staying longer than expected though, we missed our connecting flight from Colorado to Fargo, and had to stay an extra 3 nights) But the things we did and saw were amazing. The flight there had been my first time on a plane. It was very exciting and super fun, my favorite part about that whole flight had to be when we landed in 98 degree weather!!! Just shortly after we landed, we were off drving to the arena. Yes, I know arena in Arizona? Heck yeah! Arizona coyotes I mean they may or may not be the worst team in the NHL but it was still super fun to experience. Like I said, it was sooo so so nice there, we had an awesome time in the mountains in Arizona (yes Arizona has mountains, its not just desert lands.) But I mean I woke up in the morning and looked out the window and got this great view of a mountain. (we stayed at a cabin on a mountain over looking a mountain) I would just walked out the front door and 2 feet away was my breakfast (a lovely little orange tree). So each morning I would get up and pick my breakfast. (and they were amazinggggg). With our time in Arizona we didn’t sit around the whole time, no. We went four wheeling into the mountains one day, then the next we hiked the mountains and looked for some crystals (and let me tall ya, there was so many!). Later to drive to the Grand Canyon, and if you haven't seen it before.. its breathtaking. There is no way to explain it, not even pictures come close to how it looks. We spent well over 2 hours there just walking around and taking pictures. Also watching these crasy people who would go on a very pointy cliff part where its just a steep drop down, just sit there and take pictures. Almost falling off the thing, which is a straight drop down about a mile or so.
Then we were off, Las vegas was our next stop. My parents wouldn’t stop talking about how much we would like this; even better than Arizona. Well I guess they were right, our hotel had 2 different towers each 30 stories high.. (Excalibur) Las Vegas looks nice during the day and all, But at night its crazy. There are hardly anyone walking around during the day, but once the sun goes down and the lights start flashing... Everyone's on the strip. But the thing is, you see a place like for ex. Cesar's Palace and you are like 'oh hey I want to go there, lets start walking' then like 30 min later, your still walking. And it never dies there, your like walking over people who have passed out in the middle of the strip, and you wouldn’t believe all these people who sit along the strip performing or even handing out cards. for ex. we saw this guy 3 nights in a row and saw the water and volcanoe ( https://youtu.be/3z4PdSX_cN0 https://youtu.be/okXSwUGG3Fk https://youtu.be/TXNAjBtZkP0 https://youtu.be/ykuj8qfrsFs ). Everything was amazing there, especially the food! Like everything was huge, the hotels had malls inside and another had like a full on river or some had rollercoasters, or even the Eiffel tower sticking out of it, and some had boxing and wresting (professional) matches held there). But yeah everything had casinos in it or alcohol beverages and such. But sadly we had to leave, and head to the airport.
We got to the airport at around 8 in the morning to see our flight was delayed till9, then till10, and so on and so forth. Turns out it had mechanical problems and we were waiting for this plane for 13 hours in this stinking airport. Trust me on this one, there is not much you can do at an airport for a whole day either. But since we had to wait that long, we had missed out connecting flight to Fargo, and we arrived in Denver Colorado at 3 in the morning. We had no idea what we were going to do either, the next flight into fargo wasn’t until 3 days from then. We also didn’t have a car. Luckily we got a subway thingie to bring us to our hotel, but we didn’t want to stay there stuck at the hotel for 3 days. We ended up getting a little rental car and we went shopping! Colorado is one of the coolest places ever, we meet up with my uncle who lives in Breckinridge and he brought us to some places. This one place we went to was called the Red Rock Theater, it was an outdoor Amp theater thing and there are live concerts there, we also went up into the mountains and went to some cute little "hippie" shops as my dad would say. While we were at the Red Rock thing, my uncle and I decided to do a little 'off season' training and run some stairs. Well because of the elevation there I was dying haha. It was weird to run up there, I could like not catch my breath. But yeah haha we had fun I think but I really wanted to come back home after that. I mean yeah I loved the warm weather and everything but I missed a lot of other things too.
